On the afternoon of December 5th, 1978, Dr. King entered a profound and elevated state as he prepared to visit the sacred temple of light, Shamballa, to attend a very significant gathering. But he could not have been prepared for what happened. Suddenly, the room became hushed as the Lord Buddha entered and, as Dr. King described:

“He approached me and touched me three times: once upon the head, and then upon the right shoulder and then upon the left shoulder.

“He spoke in a physical voice, in perfect English, these most significant words:
‘I thus initiate you as Grand Knight Templar of the Inner Sanctum of the Holy Order of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth.’ ”

Dr. King had become, even in his unascended body, a member of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth – with all the privileges and responsibilities that entails.

‘As above so below’. This is a core principle in the Hermetic teachings and underlines the truth that what happens in the higher planes, must manifest on the physical plane.

Apparently out of the blue, Dr. King was invited and later invested into a langue (branch) of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, which came under the royal protection of Prince Henri III de Vigo Paleologo, a descendant of the Byzantine imperial family.

So impressed was Prince Henri by Dr. King and his writings that he quickly recognized him as a cosmic master in his own right. Prince Henri bestowed upon him further titles including the highest of them all—one which he never had and never would accord to anyone else—when he crowned him as the Prince de Santorini, in St. George’s Church, Hanover Square in London, on September 26th, 1981.
