The Mother Earth (referred to here as “Terra”) has for millions of years sacrificed Herself so that we could continue to live here in our backward state of spiritual evolution. It was seen by the Supreme Lords of Karma that She was due to die.
It is for this reason that the cosmic masters asked for permission from Interplanetary Parliament to be allowed to tell us when they would be in orbit of Earth, so that we could cooperate with them to improve our karma and avoid a major setback that was due at that time.
