Renovating the new headquarters at 6202 Afton Place
<< Back to Chapter 6: Alien Armageddon
On May 30th, 1965, the Three Adepts commenced the first of the major conflicts for which they had been recruited to Earth; a necessary but extremely dangerous mission into the lower astral realms to fight for the future of humanity! The lowest planes of existence on Earth are those planes to which the worst of humanity go after death, before reincarnating again. This mission, referred to later as the “Alien Mission”, consisted of 27 phases and culminated in victory on January 22nd, 1966.
The Alien Mission also coincided with a major move by The Aetherius Society into new premises on Afton Place in Los Angeles. Dr. King and his small team took possession of the property on June 2nd, just three days after the start of this battle for the survival and sanity of the human race. In fact, the second phase of this conflict had taken place only the previous day.
The new premises were far from pristine. Due to the scarcity of financial support in those days, The Aetherius Society was forced to purchase a property in need of substantial repair. There were times when Dr. King and the other residents of the property had to be out of bed in the middle of the night working in the pouring rain to prevent flooding to parts of the property – while being on call for a phase of this intense battle!
Dr. King, Monique Noppe, Charles Abrahamson and the rest of the staff spent many hours, night after night, inspecting the property, drawing up floor plans of the buildings and beginning the long task of formulating the plans for the best use of all available space, as well as working hard on the renovation during the day.
Saint Goo-Ling remarked: “THE MISSION HE (Dr. King) IS NOW ENGAGED UPON IS SO DANGEROUS AS TO MAKE EVEN SOME OF WE IN THE SPIRITUAL HIERARCHY OF EARTH STOP IN AWE.” Dr. King wrote: “This reference is made to the secret mission which I now have to perform as well as the other work appertaining to the preparation of the new headquarters and the eventual building of a temple with shape-power.”
