This photograph shows Dr. King seated in the Transmission Room of the American Headquarters. He received over 600 transmissions while acting as a medium for the cosmic masters. The deep trance state used was a self-induced, samadhic trance, with the kundalini fully raised through sushumna into a very high psychic center. In this state, the consciousness was focused tightly upon a beam or beams projected by a cosmic master or cosmic masters, who used the vocal apparatus of Dr. King to verbalize their message so that it could be both heard and recorded.
In this photo Dr. King sits behind two Telefunken ELAM 251 condenser microphones. These were introduced in 1960, and are reverentially considered to be one of the most gorgeous sounding microphones ever made. The microphone has been featured on countless hits and classical recordings over the decades.
Their greatest use was in the Transmission Room of the American Headquarters, recording for posterity the wisdom of the cosmic masters.
The microphones were connected to two Ampex 351 reel-to-reel tape recorders located in an adjoining building, using Scotch Brand 208 recording tape on 10.5 inch reels.
A third copy of a transmission was recorded using the smaller microphone in the middle, an Electrovoice, which was connected to an additional Sony tape recorder.
For many years the microphones and recorders were tested at least once a day, to ensure their readiness at all times. At least once a month, a complete frequency response testing of both of the Ampex recorders was conducted by an outside technician, using expensive measuring gear, to ensure that maximum fidelity was always obtained, and to maximize the audio quality of these priceless teachings.
An intercom was set up between the Transmission Room and the recording room next door to ensure important communication was possible.
The cross on the table was blessed by the Master Jesus.
The outside windows behind the curtains were enclosed by sound-proofed shutters.
The glass to Dr. King’s right contains a mixture of about 50% orange juice and 50% olive oil. This was used (sometimes even during a mental transmission), to soothe his throat.
A small bed with an oxygen tank was located nearby (to the right on the photo), should healing or massage be needed after a transmission.
The pouch on the table contained specially charged crystal containers which Dr. King could use for his protection, should he be the target of a psychic attack.
